Vert-X provided the structural design for a bespoke 270 m² home near Bulls, working closely with designer Vector Architecture and builder Arnott and Arnott Builders. Ground conditions meant a standard slab-on-ground wouldn't be sufficient, so we designed a structural slab and foundation carried on driven timber piles, with the details and approach worked through together with the designer and builder. Above the foundation, the specific engineering design (SED) elements and exposed trusses - were detailed to enhance the look of the building where the structure is exposed and disappeare cleanly where it wasn't.
